FREE Sample of Earthschooling High School
Earthschooling Ninth Grade
This sample provides you with a couple days of lessons for various subjects so you can sample the student experience. If you have additional questions please let us know. When you enroll in Earthschooling High School you also receive access to the Teacher Portal (this is the student portal) which allows you access to all the courses in their complete form so you can download complete lessons and videos if you want to. You also receive access to over 30 additional teacher support materials including e-books, mp3s and videos.
This is just a sample. Of course each of the courses in the full curriculum is much longer than two lessons ;) However, this gives you an idea of how the student will log in, access their course, receive a day's lesson and then be able to track their progress through the course.
Keep in mind that some courses are delivered in e-book form (the student will read) and others are delivered by video. This is based on the needs of the course. For example, a craft might require a lot of visual instruction while a language lesson may not need any.

Your Instructor
Dr. Kristie Burns, Mh, ND, Ph.D. has an BA in Anthropology and Lingustics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She holds a masters and doctorate degree in plant biology and Naturopathy. She was trained as an early childhood Waldorf-inspired teacher and as an early-childhood Montessori assistant. Kristie has also attended and taught at numerous Waldorf Education Conferences from 1998 to 2009. Kristie worked as a private tutor from 1989 to 1995 and was an ESL tutor, and photography instructor at the American University in Cairo from 1991-1993. Dr. Burns taught classes and served as the director at a Waldorf-inpired Enrichment School in an International community for four years and at a Waldorf-inspired Enrichment School in Iowa for an additional six years. Kristie Burns has been creating Waldorf-inspired curriculum with a consulting board of professional Waldorf teachers since 1994. Dr. Burns taught at a private Montessori School in 2006. Kristie is also a Certified Wildlife Educator through the ZAA.
